Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation
Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation (formerly Hazelden Foundation) is a not-for-profit den of healing for many. The organization provides addiction treatment and education based on the 12 Steps of Alcohol Anonymous to about 13,000 patients annually. Hazelden Betty Ford also provides professional education, advocates for addiction awareness, conducts research, and treats other mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder. The foundation provides its services at 11 residential and outpatient facilities located mostly in Minnesota and Oregon. Hazelden Publishing puts out books for individuals in recovery as well as curricula for law enforcement, treatment professionals, and prevention programs. The original Hazelden was founded in 1949.
